• Pasture Raised – Our hens have full access to the outdoors. Their diet is primarily comprised of plants and bugs they find while grazing. This is what gives our eggs a darker, tastier yolk.
  • Hormone / Antibiotic Free – Uncommon in raising egg producing chickens, you’ll still be glad to know that we do not give our chickens added hormones or antibiotics.
  • No pesticides / herbicides – On our farm we rarely use of pesticides or herbicides but when needed, we never use them within proximity of our chickens.
  • Humanely raised – We raise our hens from chicks, by hand in a secure, low stress environment.
  • Gently washed eggs – If needed, we rinse off dirt and debris using warm water, never bleach or other harsh chemicals.
  • Nutritional advantage – “Pasture-raised hens also produce healthier eggs, according to a 2003 study out of Pennsylvania State University. In it, researchers found that one pasture-raised egg contains twice as much omega-3 fat, three times more vitamin D, four times more vitamin E and seven times more beta-carotene than eggs from hens raised on traditional feed.”
